Technical Product Manager

Description

The Technical Product Manager should have technical skills, particularly as it relates to managing the product roadmap and developing software requirements. Meaningful experience at driving product messaging, positioning, developing user features, stories, including all of the technical artifacts that drive the product roadmap will be critical for success.

As a key part of the product team, this person will work across all departments including sales, marketing, services, and customer support to assist with product planning, timelines, product presentations, training materials, and related. Strong documentation skills will be key for building user guides, training materials, release notes, test cases, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.

Job Responsibilities

Developing detailed user stories, with detailed acceptance criteria, consistent with the product roadmap for PossibleNOW’s product platforms will be job one. Candidate must be able to operate sufficiently at a level of technical depth that allows for specifications that are “developer ready.”

As a SaaS platform, these user stories and requirements will be largely focused around new web services, data service offerings, client and consumer facing web applications, and related. Working closely with product team members to build a roadmap that increases the gap between PossibleNOW and competing offerings, designing training materials that can be used internally and externally for new releases and customer education will be a primary responsibility.

Prior experience working on SaaS product teams in the Campaign Management, Journey Orchestration, Customer Data Platforms, and other marketing technology and fulfillment tools will be a big plus.

The ability to bridge the technology gap between the Product team and the Marketing team in support of tactical Marketing Communications “MarComm” will be an ongoing critical responsibility of this role.

Job Duties

• Product owner for one or more compliance platforms
• Develop highly technical requirements in the form of complete user features and stories
• Must be able to work from start to finish on large
• Function effectively as a product evangelist either as a trainer or in front of customers
• Communicate the value, and educate on the use of, new product offerings to all parties involved with sales, implementation and support
• Play key role in UAT testing and validation of new products ensuring adherence to promised, expected functionality
• Ongoing research and analysis of the marketplace with an emphasis on extending PossibleNOW’s industry leading position

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

Desired Skills

• Exceptional written and oral communications; to include designing and creating visual presentations using tools like PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• 3 plus years of experience working with other software suites, preferably for a SaaS or PaaS company
• Technical acumen, technical writing, and willingness to learn new technologies.
• A genuine interest in growing in the Marketing Technology space
• Demonstrable experience working with customers in all areas ranging from pre-sales to ongoing support

Additional capabilities that will help ensure success

• Experience with iPaaS platforms, JSON, OAS/Swagger/Web Services are a huge plus
• Cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS, Google) is a plus
• Database design experience is a plus
• Prior experience working with compliance solutions, marketing automation or CRM tools
• Experience planning and driving training curriculums
