SQL Database Administrator

PossibleNOW, the industry leader for Internet-based Do Not Contact compliance solutions seeks an experienced Microsoft SQL Database Administrator. We are expanding our suite of services and seek a talented DBA to join our technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a successful, growing technology organization.

Ideal candidate must have at least 4 to 7 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 along with the following:

Technical Skills:

• Proven proficiency in T-SQL, creating stored procedures, triggers, constraints and indexes.
• ETL experience with SSIS packages development
• SQL Server management studio
• Experience in SQL database tuning, capacity planning, monitoring and maintenance plans
• Knowledge and expertise with Embarcadero a plus
• .NET experience also a plus
• Good problem-solving ability; ability to adhere to best practices standards

Job Responsibilities include:

• Maintain existing databases including optimization plans
• Handle backup and restore procedures
• Effectively optimize existing queries
• Perform disaster recovery planning and testing
• Design new database schemes and queries including triggers, constraints and indexes

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration in a production environment
• Experience supporting databases in 24/7 environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Results-oriented, strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
